Below are a list of frequently asked questions about the Royal Theatre Winton and our services.
Do I need to book in advance?
Tickets are only sold at the door, we have plenty of seats.
Do I need to bring a chair?
We have over plenty of the famous canvas sling chairs and backs ups if required.
What time should I arrive to secure a canvas chair?
Doors open 30mins before the screening begins, we recommend arriving no later than 10mins before the screening.
Do you have alternative seating if I don’t like the canvas sling chairs?
We have leather theatre chairs also available as an alternative option. These are better if you have back or mobility issues.
Should I bring a blanket?
Yes, it gets cold in winter and it is an amazing experience snuggled up under a blanket.
What are your COVID procedures?
We are a COVID safe venue and follow industry practices.
Do you sell popcorn and snacks?
Yes, we have great value popcorn, soft drinks and sweets.
Do you sell merchandise?
We have a range of quality merchandise, such as blankets, scarves, beanies, tea towels, stubby coolers and more. They are for sale in the foyer and Candy Bar.
How much is a ticket?
We provide great value tickets, see our What’s On page for the latest screenings and details.
Do you offer concession and discounts?
Yes, we have concession prices for teens and kids under 12, see our What’s On page for details.
What happens if it rains?
Good question, we will have you covered and it will be an experience to remember. If we do have to cancel, we will advise via social media.
Can I bring a dog or pet?
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but no large pets please (e.g. Ilamas, sheep and cows!)
Is the theatre Wheelchair and mobility chair accessible?
Yes, please see our volunteers in the foyer on arrival. We have ramp access from the main foyer, and we have a side entrance on Cobb Lane, which is wider.
Please note, a lot of the theatre flooring is made up of bricks, which are uneven. The rear of the theatre is concrete, which is smoother and still provides a brilliant view.

What happened to the World’s Biggest Deckchair?
Unfortunately, the cost to repair the chair was too excessive so it was removed.
